What is Group Strep?

Group Strep (Streptococcus pyogenes) is a type of bacteria that can cause a range of infections, from mild skin and throat infections to more serious invasive infections. Group Strep is spread through contact with respiratory droplets from an infected person, or through contact with contaminated objects.

Symptoms of Group Strep

Treatment for Group Strep

Prevention of Group Strep

There are a number of things that can be done to prevent the spread of Group Strep, including:
